Colour Schemes for Cal and Omm

Here is some colour designs for Cal and Omm, I looked into using a collage effect, incorporating pictures of different furs for Cal and Omm's clothes on the left-hand side images, then just block colour in the middle. For the right-hand side designs I used the brushes I had created in Photoshop to give texture to them,

I really liked the right-hand sided designs as I thought this would work quite well with the painted backgrounds I've created. I also thought this would be quite feasible way of adding colour in Flash without it being the rather boring, vectored colour. 

Background Art Development

Here are some backgrounds for some of the scenes in my animation. I have incorporated the use of paint and Photoshop editing.

The five images below I looked at in relation to the ice cave and also the ice cavern for it's ethereal and almost magical qualities; again something I want to capture.
